GNOME Asia summit 2013

Last weekend I attended GNOME Asia summit 2013 in Seoul, South Korea. It was a successful and very nice event. As a speaker, I was excited to give a talk about Seafile.

The first day starts with Karen Sandler's keynotes. She talked about why open source is important. I absolutely agree with the point, open source protects our privacy.

My talks was in the first day afternoon. There were about 10 to 20 people in the room. Since the time is limited, I could just give an introduction to Seafile's features and an overview of Seafile's internals. A few developers were interested in Seafile, including Tobias Mueller, a GNOME foundation board member. We also discussed the possibility of integrating Seafile into GNOME :)

My slides can be downloaded from https://cloud.seafile.com/f/67efafd22a/

I was also happy to meet so many developers in the meeting. There were totally 6 people from mainland China and 2 from Taiwan.

By the way my trip was sponsored by GNOME foundation. Thanks to sponsors!
